Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Build Crystal is a trade name operated by KESA LLC, a single-member LLC organized under the laws of Minnesota, USA. Austin VanAlstyne is the sole operator. KESA LLC is the data controller responsible for information collected through this site.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected through buildcrystal.ai and any forms hosted on that domain.

It does not cover AI workers deployed on customer properties or third-party platforms. Those deployments are governed by separate agreements between Build Crystal and the applicable customer.

3. What we collect

Contact form submissions. When you submit a form on this site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your work email address
• Your business or company name
• Which role or worker you are inquiring about
• An optional free-text message (if you choose to include one)

You provide this information voluntarily. We do not collect it any other way.

Server logs. Our hosting and content delivery network (CDN) provider automatically records standard server log data when you visit this site. This includes your IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, and the date and time of the request. We do not control this logging; it is a standard function of web hosting infrastructure. These logs are retained according to our hosting provider's policies.

4. What we don't collect

• No cookies — session, persistent, or otherwise
• No analytics (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no PostHog, nothing)
• No tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts
• No social login or account creation
• No payment information
• No third-party advertising scripts or embeds

If you do not submit the contact form, we collect nothing beyond what the hosting provider logs automatically.

5. How we use your information

We use contact form submissions to:

• Respond to your inquiry
• Evaluate whether Build Crystal's services are a fit for your business
• Route your submission through our internal AI workers (Crystal Support Rep and Crystal Reception) for processing, intent classification, and response drafting
• Maintain a record of the interaction in our internal CRM (Notion)

We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. If you submit the form, we reply to you. That is the extent of it.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We share information only with the following service providers, who act as data processors on our behalf:

Anthropic. Form submissions, including any free-text message you provide, may be processed by Anthropic's API as part of our AI worker pipeline. Anthropic acts as a processor, not a controller. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted via the API. Anthropic's privacy practices are described at anthropic.com/privacy.

Notion. Submitted information is stored in our Notion workspace, which serves as our internal CRM and knowledge base. Notion acts as a processor. Notion's privacy practices are described at notion.so/privacy.

Hosting and CDN provider. Our site is served via a content delivery network. Server log data described in Section 3 is retained by that provider.

We do not share your information with any other third parties.

7. How long we keep it

We retain inquiry records in Notion for as long as the business relationship or conversation is active.

If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so. Send a deletion request to help@buildcrystal.ai. We will confirm deletion within a reasonable time. Note that we cannot delete information already retained in third-party provider server logs, which are outside our control.

8. Your rights

For everyone. You can request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your information. Email help@buildcrystal.ai.

California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

EU and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the right to access your personal data, to correct inaccurate data, to request erasure, to request a portable copy of your data, and to object to processing. Because our lawful basis for processing your contact form submission is legitimate interest (responding to a business inquiry you initiated), you have the right to object. To exercise any of these rights, email help@buildcrystal.ai. If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We are a small operation. We will handle rights requests manually and in good faith. We cannot guarantee automated fulfillment timelines, but we will respond.

9. Children's privacy

This site and our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, contact us at help@buildcrystal.ai and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you submit. Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Access to our internal systems is restricted.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, or lost through circumstances outside our control. In the event of a material data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes — meaning changes that meaningfully affect how we collect or use your information — we will post a notice on the buildcrystal.ai homepage for at least 30 days.

Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
